PETALING JAYA, Nov 26 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah today graced the National Press Club Malaysia Golf 2024 at the Tropicana Golf & Country Resort here.
The tournament brought together 102 participants nationwide who showcased their camaraderie, competitive spirit and a shared love for golf.
Rastam Ariffin Ahmad Khairuddin secured the men's title with an impressive 41 points (pts) while Ruth Cabalero (37 pts) clinched the women’s crown.
Speaking at the event, NPC president Datuk Ahirudin Attan expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming response.
“It has been 10 years since we last organised a golf tournament, and I am thrilled to see it return with such success. This achievement would not have been possible without the incredible support from our sponsors, partners and participants, who have all come together to make this event a memorable one,” he said.
Ahirudin, meanwhile, did not rule out the possibility of the NPC organising the event again next year.
“Basically, if we want to do it (again) next year, the objective I feel would be to get a figure like Al-Sultan Abdullah to bring together journalists with the business and corporate fraternity and the government,” he said.
