FBM KLCI Futures End Higher, Tracking Cash Market's Performance

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 19 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, in line with the performance of the underlying cash market. 

Spot months September 2024 and October 2024 gained 4.0 points each to 1,664.0 and 1,666.5, respectively, while December 2024 rose 3.5 points to 1,671.5 and March 2025 advanced 3.0 points to 1,657.5.  

Turnover went up to 7,358 lots from 5,298 lots on Wednesday, while open interest was higher at 50,741 contracts from 48,219 contracts yesterday.  

At 5pm, the FBM KLCI strengthened by 5.06 points, or 0.3 per cent, to 1,665.65, from 1,660.59 at the close yesterday.
