Securities Commission Releases Updated Investor Alert List

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 (Bernama) -- The Securities Commission (SC) has updated its Investor Alert List containing the latest unauthorised entities and individuals for investment schemes.

The regulator said some entities in the list might impersonate legitimate entities, which were described as “potential clones” and advised the public not to deal with or invest through them.

“If you invest through unauthorised entities and individuals, you will not be protected under Malaysian securities laws. This list is not exhaustive and is based on the information available to the SC at the time of publication,” it said.

The SC has added a potential clone entity including “DDNK Menang Saham” for possible clone operating an illegal investment scheme offering high returns, carrying on unlicensed capital market activities of dealing in securities and misrepresentation and misuse of SC’s name.

Other potential clone entities include StockPro Sphere for illegal investment schemes, offering high returns and unlicensed capital market activities dealing in securities.
