AEON Credit Issues Seventh Sukuk Wakalah Of RM450 Mln Sukuk

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 14 (Bernama) -- AEON Credit Service (M) Bhd has made its seventh issuance of senior sukuk under its RM5 billion sukuk wakalah programme.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, it said the issuance of RM450 million in nominal value was conducted on Nov 14, 2024, in two tranches.

AEON Credit said the tranches comprised Tranche 1, with RM250 million and a five-year tenure, and Tranche 2, with RM200 million and a six-year tenure.

“The proceeds will be utilised for financing disbursements to customers in the ordinary course of its consumer financing business based on Shariah principles, as well as for refinancing any existing loans or financing, including any sukuk previously issued by the company.

“All utilisation of proceeds under the Sukuk Wakalah Programme shall be Shariah-compliant,” it said.
