Gold Futures End Mixed

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 31 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended mixed on the last trading day of 2024.

Spot-month December 2024 contract increased to US$2,610.90 per troy ounce from Monday’s US$2,610.50.

Meanwhile, January 2025 remained unchanged at US$2,623.60, and February 2025, March 2025 and April 2025 all settled unchanged at US$2,633.70 per troy ounce.

No trading volume was recorded today, while open interest narrowed to 16 contracts from 29 contracts previously.

According to the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on Dec 30, the price of physical gold stood at US$2,609.10 per troy ounce.
