FBM KLCI Futures Close Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, March 19 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today in tandem with losses in the underlying cash market.  

The March 2025, June 2025 and September 2025 contracts fell 6.0 points each to 1,514.0, 1,519.5 and 1,506.0, while April 2025 decreased 5.5 points to 1,517.5.

Turnover rose to 7,321 lots from 6,916 lots on Monday, while open interest narrowed to 43,582 contracts from 44,243 contracts previously.  

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI lost 10.15 points, or 0.66 per cent, to 1,517.66 from Monday’s close of 1,527.81. 

Bursa Malaysia and its subsidiaries were closed yesterday in conjunction with the Nuzul Al-Quran public holiday.
