IJM Secures RM873.9 Mln Contract For Hyperscale Data Centre Works

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 29 (Bernama) -- IJM Corporation Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary, IJM Construction Sdn Bhd, has accepted a letter of award (LOA) worth RM873.9 million from Pearl Computing Malaysia Sdn Bhd for the mechanical and electrical (M&E) fit-out works of a hyperscale data centre in Elmina Business Park, Selangor.

IJM said the project involves the supply and installation of mechanical, electrical, security, and telecommunication systems and services for the centre. It includes providing extensive coordination and commissioning of all relevant systems, services, and equipment, as well as the provision of office furniture and equipment. 

"The contract, valued at RM873.9 million, is a build-only contract. Construction is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2026 and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2028," it said in a stock filing exchange.

IJM said the project is expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of the group commencing from the financial year 2027.
