MyCEB To Showcase Malaysia At The Meetings Show APAC 2026 In Singapore

KUALA LUMPUR, April 14 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) will participate in The Meetings Show Asia Pacific (TMS APAC) 2026 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore as part of efforts to position Malaysia as a leading business events destination in the Asia Pacific region.

The event from April 14-15  is expected to attract over 290 global exhibitors, nearly 1,800 attendees, and approximately 600 qualified hosted buyers, with representation from more than 70 countries, the agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia said.

MyCEB chief executive officer Tan Mei Phing said the agency’s participation reflects the country’s unwavering commitment to strengthening its global footprint in the business events industry.

“Platforms such as this enable us to engage meaningfully with international buyers, showcase Malaysia’s world-class venues and hospitality, and demonstrate our capability to deliver impactful meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions.

“Through strategic engagements with industry stakeholders, we aim to cultivate new partnerships and generate high-value leads that will contribute to the sustained growth of Malaysia’s business events sector, while reinforcing our position as a preferred destination within the APAC region,” she said in a statement today.

MyCEB said TMS APAC 2026 will bring together international meeting planners, association representatives, corporate buyers and exhibition organisers, providing a strategic marketplace for networking and collaboration.

It said participation in the event offers Malaysia a valuable platform to engage directly with key decision-makers across the APAC region, while showcasing the country’s convention and exhibition infrastructure, destination offerings and industry capabilities.

In addition, the Malaysian delegation will feature interactive engagement initiatives designed to attract buyers and foster meaningful connections with global industry stakeholders, it said.

“As part of its engagement strategy, MyCEB is facilitating targeted business-matching sessions and networking engagements to generate new opportunities and event leads,” the agency said.

MyCEB said that among the Malaysian industry partners participating alongside MyCEB are Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, Marriott International Malaysia, Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau and Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur.

It said that, through its presence at TMS APAC 2026, MyCEB aims to reinforce the nation’s standing within the global business events ecosystem, highlighting its world-class infrastructure, strategic geographic location, and comprehensive value proposition as a gateway to Southeast Asia.

“MyCEB continues to strengthen Malaysia’s international presence while advancing strategic partnerships that support the long-term development and competitiveness of the nation’s business events industry,” it added.
