Singer Hafiz Suip To Hold Debut Concert In Home State

KUCHING, Oct 5 (Bernama) – Malaysian singer Hafiz Suip is set to hold his debut concert in his home state Sarawak on Oct 13 at the Hikmah Exchange Event Centre here.

Hafiz, 34, whose real name is Mohamad Hafiz Mohamad Suip, promises surprises throughout the ‘Hafiz Suip - Perjalananku’ concert, which will showcase the highs and lows of his 15-year journey as an artiste.

"This concert will be about my true journey as a singer. My story will be told through four segments, starting from when I was a 'nobody' to becoming a singer, my life experiences, achievements and the challenges I've faced... I want to share these moments with my fans through my performance.

"I was born in Kuching so I feel very proud to hold this concert in my home state as previously, I was mostly focused on performances in Peninsular Malaysia," he said during a press conference recently to announce his upcoming ‘Hafiz Suip - Perjalananku’ concert.

 The singer, who made a name for himself with hits like ‘Awan Nano’, ‘Ku Akui’ and ‘Bahagiamu Deritaku’, made his breakthrough in the music industry after winning the seventh season of the reality show ‘Akademi Fantasia’ in 2009.

Aiming to gift his fans with an unforgettable experience, the concert will also feature singer Ernie Zakri, who will perform ‘Berakhirlah Pencarianku’ with Hafiz, marking the first live duet performance of the song.

Hafiz, a three-time winner of the Best Vocal Award at Anugerah Juara Lagu, hoped his concert would be a platform for him to connect and interact with his fans in a relaxed manner.

"All this time, when I performed, I could only see my fans from a distance, so for this concert, I want to engage with them so they don’t feel shy and know that I’m approachable... without them, there wouldn’t be a Hafiz Suip," he said, adding he will also be performing his latest single, ‘Terus Bersinar’.

Organised by MCF Event, tickets to the concert are available on the website mcfevent.com, with their prices ranging from RM88 to RM488.
