VIETNAM

1. OVER TWO MILLION MOTORCYCLES PRODUCED IN FIRST NINE MONTHS -- VIETNAM NEWS

Vietnam’s General Statistics Office said 2.3 million new motorbikes were manufactured in the first nine months of this year, a 6.6 per cent growth compared to the same period last year. Most spare parts and components are now produced locally.

 

2. VIETJET FIRST LOCAL CARRIER TO USE SUSTAINABLE FUEL -- VIETNAMPLUS

Vietjet became the country’s first airline to use sustainable aviation fuel produced from raw materials such as agricultural by-products, used cooking oil, wood biomass and municipal waste. Sustainable aviation fuel helps cut carbon emissions by 80 per cent compared to traditional fuels.
