KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 14 (Bernama) -- The Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2024 (KLIMS 2024) is set to offer the public an opportunity to experience the latest innovations in the mobility and automotive industry.
Taking place at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) from December 5 to 11, 2024, the event is expected to attract 250,000 visitors.
Organised by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) and managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd, KLIMS 2024 aims to showcase key trends shaping the future of the automotive industry.
MAA president Mohd Shamsor Mohd Zain said that KLIMS 2024 serves as a crucial platform for the automotive industry to present its latest advancements, providing insights into transformative trends such as electric vehicles (EVs) and eco-friendly mobility solutions.
“With the Malaysian government’s ongoing commitment to sustainable and innovative mobility solutions, including incentives for EV adoption and policies supporting green technology, we see an exciting trajectory for our automotive sector,” he said at the media launch of KLIMS 2024, today.
Also present at the press conference were Qube Integrated Malaysia executive chairman Richard Teo and director of business events Yuhanis Latif.
In a statement, MAA announced that the 10th edition of KLIMS 2024 will feature a lucky draw, giving attendees the chance to win a Toyota Yaris and a Perodua Axia.
“With nearly 70 exhibitors participating, this year’s show promises a showcase of cutting-edge vehicles, eco-friendly mobility solutions, and groundbreaking technology from leading automotive brands and service companies.
“The exhibition halls, covering nearly 30,000 square metres over two levels, offer an expansive platform for automotive enthusiasts to experience innovation and engagement at every turn,” MAA said.
MAA shared that KLIMS 2024 is supported by key government and industry bodies, including the Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute, the Automotive Federation Malaysia, the Motorcycle and Scooter Assemblers and Distributors Association of Malaysia, and the Malaysian Automotive Component Parts Manufacturers Association.
Endorsed by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation, KLIMS 2024 reinforces its position as a premier platform for showcasing Malaysia’s automotive sector to international markets, further enhancing the country’s reputation as a hub for automotive innovation and sustainability.
KLIMS 2024 is touted as the largest automotive industry event in Malaysia.
The seven-day show will feature a range of motoring machines, including passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, accessories, and more, alongside concept cars, performance cars, new model launches, and other engaging mobility products and activities.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof is set to attend the opening ceremony on Dec 4, 2024, as the guest of honour.
