Johor Port Honoured At Asia Best Employer Brand Awards 2024

JOHOR BAHRU, Nov 15 (Bernama) -- Johor Port Bhd, a member of MMC Group, was awarded top honours at the Asia Best Employer Brand Awards 2024 in an event held in Singapore on Nov 6.

In a statement today, Johor Port said the recognition underscores Johor Port’s continued commitment to fostering an inclusive and empowering workplace culture that nurtures talent, promotes growth and sets a benchmark for employer excellence across the region.

“The Asia Best Employer Brand Awards 2024 was presented in recognition of Johor Port’s efforts in establishing industry-leading human resource practices with a focus on creating an environment that motivates and supports its employees in reaching their highest potential,” it said in a statement today.

Chief executive officer Md Derick Basir said the award underscores Johor Port’s steadfast commitment to building a supportive, dynamic and inclusive workplace that prioritizes employee development, wellness and career growth, reinforcing its standing as a leading employer in Asia.

The annual event, organised by the World HRD Congress with strategic support from CHRO Asia, a Global Platform for Heads of Human Resource, and the World Federation of Human Resources Professionals, celebrates organisations that prioritises employee engagement, effective talent management and outstanding human resource practices in alignment with strategic business goals.

Johor Port operates an integrated multi-purpose port facility in Pasir Gudang with a total area of approximately 404.68 hectares of which, 267.09 hectares are designated as free zone.
