KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 20 (Bernama) -- Preparations for the Two Years of MADANI Government (2TM) Programme and the 2024 National Convention on Public Service Reform, which will take place from this Friday to Sunday, is almost complete, with about 85 per cent of the work done.

Corporate communications head of the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU) at the Prime Minister's Office, Sapian Mamat said preparations are progressing smoothly, with a focus on setting up booths and counters and ensuring the event layout provides comfort for both visitors and exhibitors.

"Tomorrow, we’ll make the final adjustments and ensure all safety measures are in place as the comfort of our visitors is our priority," he told Bernama after inspecting the venue at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) here today.

The 2024 National Convention on Public Service Reform is part of the 2TM programme, themed “MADANI di hati, rakyat disantuni,” and is organised by PACU and the Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC).

In addition to showcasing government services, the event will feature a range of activities including e-sports, a counter offering up to 60 per cent off traffic summonses, and a helmet exchange programme.

Other activities include the MADANI sales event, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) exhibition and a career carnival.

“We expect the career carnival to attract great interest, with over 3,000 job opportunities from 40 employers," said Sapian.

The event is expected to draw around 200,000 visitors.

The 2TM programme aims to help the public better understand the MADANI government’s efforts and reforms, which are focused on directly benefiting the people.

The programme also seeks to raise awareness of the government’s direction, which is centred on the welfare of the people.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will officiate the official opening on Nov 23 at 11 am.

Sapian encouraged the public to attend, provide  feedback on government services, and take advantage of the various activities available at the event.
