All Invited To Enliven 2TM Programme At KL Convention Centre From Nov 22 - 24

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 20 (Bernama) -- Members of the public are invited to join and enliven the Two Years of MADANI Government (2TM) Programme and the 2024 National Convention on Public Service Reform, which will be held for three days starting this Friday at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

The Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU), in promoting the programme on Facebook, said that the 2TM Programme, themed ‘MADANI di hati, Rakyat disantuni’, will run from 9 am to 6 pm, offering various types of public services from ministries, agencies, and government departments.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will officially launch the 2TM programme at 11 am on Saturday.

Among the major attractions during the programme are the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) counters offering up to 60  per cent discounts on traffic summonses, a Career Carnival with 3,000 job opportunities through the involvement of more than 40 employers, and the exchange of 5,000 free helmets for visitors who bring old, damaged, or non-standard helmets according to the specifications of the Malaysian Standards and Industrial Research Institute (SIRIM).

Also awaiting the public is the Home Ministry’s Quran exchange counter where visitors can bring their old, uncertified or damaged copy of the Quran to exchange for a new one, and the Transport Ministry’s counter for motorists to pay their Road Transport Department (JPJ) fines, renew their driving licences or motor vehicle licences.

Health examination counter, healthy lifestyle consultation service and smoking cessation clinic are among the attractions at the Health Ministry’s booth, while the Works Ministry offers services such as contractor registration with the Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB) and courses and training in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

The Communications Ministry, through its departments and agencies such as the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama), the Information Department (JaPen), the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), the Broadcasting Department (RTM), and the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS), also offers various interactive activities at their respective booths.

At the Finance Ministry’s booth, the public can check their unclaimed money, individual credit report checks (CCRIS/CTOS), eligibility for Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) and Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA),  or learn more about scams and investment fraud.

Various MADANI Government initiatives to improve the people's income, along with advocacy related to the Bumiputera Economic Congress, the agricultural census, and inputs for the 13th Malaysia Plan, will be highlighted by the Ministry of Economy during the programme.

The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) has also announced that one of their offerings is the MADANI Sale, which provides various daily necessities at discounts of up to 30  per cent, as well as affordable products from local entrepreneurs.

“There will also be Padaniaga and BIAYA Usahawan sessions aimed to assist entrepreneurs in expanding their product markets and provide exposure to business access opportunities for business growth,” KUSKOP said on their social media platforms.

The Ministry of Defence’s booth, on the other hand, will feature a veteran service counter and an exhibition of military light while promoting participation in the Territorial Army.

The Ministry of Housing and Local Government's booth will, of course, focus on housing advice and services.

Meanwhile, the 2024 National Convention on Public Service Reform, will, among other things, discuss reforms in the public sector that are inclusive and competitive, featuring leaders, experts, and the community.
