KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 21 (Bernama) -- The public is encouraged to exchange damaged or old copies of Quran that do not have a Home Ministry (KDN) certification during the three-day Two Years of MADANI Government (2TM) event at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) starting tomorrow.
In an infographic, KDN announced that the ‘Jom Exchange Al-Quran’ (JEQ) programme, allows one Quran exchange per person.
The 2TM programme, themed 'MADANI di hati, Rakyat disantuni' will take place from 9 am to 6 pm daily and will feature various services from ministries, agencies and government departments for the public.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will officiate the programme on Saturday.
Visitors can look forward to ministry service exhibitions, entrepreneur booths, and the MADANI Rahmah Sale, as well as a variety of engaging activities and attractive offers.
The event will also feature 3,000 job vacancies, with job openings from 40 employers at the career carnival, offering 150 selected services.
The Road Transport Department will provide counters for summons payments, helmet exchanges and health check-ups. In addition, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) will offer discounts of up to 60 per cent on traffic summonses.
