1. WORLD BANK: MULTIMODAL TRANSPORT SYSTEM NEEDED -- FRESH NEWS

The World Bank said Cambodia could play a vital role in enhancing regional trade and connectivity by strengthening its transport links with neighbouring countries. It said investments and policy actions are needed to improve road, rail and inland waterway transport.

 

2. HUN MANET SAYS CCP IS FIRM IN PROMOTING PEACE -- FRESH NEWS

Prime Minister Hun Manet told the International Conference of Asian Political Parties delegates in Phnom Penh that the Cambodian People's Party (CCP) is committed to safeguarding peace, sovereignty, and territorial integrity while developing and resisting all hostile forces in any form.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) urged its newly elected leadership to focus on strengthening anti-corruption regulations in line with the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC), particularly addressing issues such as foreign bribery and cross-border corruption.

 

MYANMAR

1. MYANMAR EXPORTS FISH PRODUCTS WORTH RM1.7 BILLION -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

The Fisheries Department said it exported 300,000 metric tonnes of fish products earning RM1.7 billion in the past seven months - RM43 million jump year-on-year. It exports over 20 species including hilsa, rohu, river catfish, and seabass to 40 countries.

VIETNAM

1. CAT BI AIRPORT EXPANSION COSTING RM127 MILLION -- VIETNAMPLUS

About RM127 million will be spent to expand the cargo terminal at Cat Bi International Airport in Hai Phong City. Once completed in January 2026, the terminal can handle 100,000 tonnes of cargo per year and is expandable to 250,000 tonnes.

 

2. VIETNAM TO HOST MAIDEN RURAL TOURISM MEET -- VIETNAMPLUS

The coastal province of Quang Nam will host the United Nations’ first Conference on Tourism for Rural Development on 10th December. About 300 delegates, including government officials, tourism operators, and international organisations, will discuss developing rural tourism, empowering and engaging local communities in tourism initiatives.
