PUTRAJAYA, Dec 2 (Bernama) -- Applications for the Socioeconomic Development of the Indian Community (PPSMI) grants for 2025 are now open, according to the Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (MITRA).
MITRA invites government agencies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), companies or foundations interested in implementing programmes for the socioeconomic development of the Indian community to submit applications through the MITRA Financial Grant Application System (SPGKM) at https://spgkm.mitra.gov.my/.
"Only organisations that are legally registered with government registration agencies are eligible to apply for development programmes aimed at upgrading the socioeconomic status of the Indian community, focusing on one of the four areas outlined.
"These include education and higher studies, economy and career training, welfare and social development, as well as identity and inclusiveness," MITRA said in a statement today.
Each organisation is allowed to submit only one application, and only applications submitted through SPGKM will be processed and considered.
According to MITRA, the grant application guidelines can be accessed at www.mitra.gov.my starting today. The public can also follow their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/mitrajpmofficial for more information.
The deadline for applications for PPSMI grants is Jan 5, 2025.
