ISKANDAR PUTERI, Dec 4 (Bernama) -- Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) head coach Hector Bidoglio said he is satisfied with the draw against Thai giants Buriram United in the Asian Champions League Elite (ACLE) match at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium (SSI) here yesterday.

The Argentine said even though JDT failed to win, he is still proud of the performance of his players in their sixth game in the tournament.

"JDT players managed to show a high team spirit when attacking and defending. Although Buriram United attacked repeatedly, we managed to control the game well.

"Our mission in the remaining matches is to avoid defeat," he said in a press conference after the match, which ended 0-0.

JDT defender Eddy Israfilov said they did well considering they were one man down after Murilo Santos was given a red card in the 10th minute for fouling Dion Cools outside the penalty box.

"It is difficult to go through a match with 10 players, especially against a giant team like Buriram United. But for the upcoming matches, we will do our best to strengthen our position in the ACLE," he said.

Meanwhile, Buriram United head coach Osmar Loss also praised his players' performance, saying it was a success to draw with JDT.

"Our players did their best, and we will try to collect three points in the upcoming match," he said.

JDT have won two games, lost two and drawn two after playing six matches in ACLE this season.

JDT will meet Australian club Central Coast Mariners FC on Feb 11, 2025 and South Korean club Pohang Steelers on Feb 18.
