Zynakal Set To Release Debut Album This Year

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 10 (Bernama) – After eight years of carving a name in the entertainment industry, talented singer and composer Zynakal is poised to achieve his long-awaited dream of launching his debut album this year.

Zynakal, whose real name is Muhammad Raziq Rosli, 27, said his debut album is nearing completion, with the release date still under consideration.

"God willing, the album will be released this year. I can confidently say it’s 90 per cent complete, and all recording sessions are finished," he told reporters after the recent launch of the original soundtrack (OST), trailer, and behind-the-scenes featurette for the film Dajal: Satu Malam diPedajal.

 He added that the album, which features nine self-composed tracks and one collaborative piece with a composer from Faithful Music, is expected to be launched after the Hari Raya celebration.

Reflecting on the OST for Dajal: Satu Malam diPedajal, titled Di Kala Malam and performed by him, Zynakal said it marks his first foray into producing a horror-themed song.

“The process of crafting the OST for this film was unique as I had to adapt an existing song in my collection. I modified the lyrics and melody to create a more eerie version that complements the thriller and horror elements of the story.

“For inspiration, I drew from personal experiences of living alone, like the unsettling sensation of being watched. I believe such experiences are relatable to many, which helps make the song more impactful for listeners,” he shared.

The film Dajal: Satu Malam diPedajal, directed by Pierre Andre, boasts a stellar cast, including Amir Nafis and popular influencer Bidin Al Zaifa, alongside Khatijah Tan, Jay Iswazir, Jaja Iliyes, Da’i Syed, Hanna Halim, Da’i Fuad, and Arfa Danish.

Set to hit cinemas across Malaysia on Feb 6, the film follows the chilling tale of two post-trauma cleaners who find themselves mystically trapped in a bungalow after one of them unwittingly reads an ancient ritual book while carrying out their cleaning tasks.
