Slam, MPO To Perform Together At DFP On Feb 22

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 10 (Bernama) – Following the success of their solo concert last June, Slam is set to return to Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP) for another performance, scheduled for Feb 22.

This time, the iconic 90s rock band, comprising Shah, Lili, Eddie, Man, and Zamani, will collaborate with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) under the baton of Ahmad Muriz Che Rose.

In a statement, DFP said MPO will elevate the legacy of local music through the concert titled ‘Slam with MPO,’ which will also feature orchestral renditions of timeless hits such as Mentari Muncul Lagi, Manisnya Rindu, and Kembali Terjalin.

“Under the direction of Ahmad Muriz Che Rose, this concert will highlight MPO’s versatility in performing local pop music, in addition to its expertise in Western classical music genres,” it added.
