Biden To Deliver Farewell Address To Nation From Oval Office On Wednesday – White House

MOSCOW, Jan 11 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- Outgoing US President Joe Biden will deliver a farewell address to the nation from the Oval Office on Wednesday, the White House said in a statement on Friday, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti. 

"On Wednesday, Jan 15 at 8.00 pm, the president will deliver a farewell address to the nation from the Oval Office," the statement said.

A presidential election took place in the United States on Nov 5, 2024. Republican candidate Donald Trump, who served as the US president in 2017 to 2021, was declared the winner by all leading race callers and networks. Democratic candidate Kamala Harris conceded defeat.

The Electoral College voted in accordance with the will of the voters on Dec 17, 2024, while the new Congress approved the results of the vote on Jan 6. The presidential inauguration will take place on Jan 20. After the inauguration, Trump will become the 47th president of the United States.
