KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 16 (Bernama) -- The Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain assisted a motorcyclist involved in an accident on the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Highway this morning.
Speaking to Bernama, Razarudin said during the 7.39 am incident, he was en route to Bukit Aman to attend the monthly assembly accompanied by officers and escort vehicles.
"On witnessing the incident, I instructed the driver to stop to assist (the victim). I also asked my officers to contact the emergency hotline for an ambulance and traffic police officers to manage the traffic flow," he said.
He added that the victim, a man in his 50s who sustained injuries on his legs and hands, was sent to Hospital Cancelor Tuanku Muhriz UKM (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia) for treatment.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, the motorcyclist, wearing the People's Volunteer Corps (RELA) uniform, was seen crashing into the back of a car while trying to avoid hitting another car.
