NEW DELHI, Jan 24 (Bernama) -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived in New Delhi on Thursday night for a four-day visit, during which he will hold talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and attend the 76th Republic Day parade on January 26 as the chief guest.
Prabowo was received at the airport by Indian Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margherita.
The Indonesian president, in a statement before his departure, said his talks in India will cover cooperation in areas such as security, maritime, and digital technology development.
India and Indonesia are expected to announce a number of agreements on Saturday.
A 352-member military contingent from Indonesia will be participating in Sunday's Republic Day parade, an annual spectacle at which India showcases tanks, missiles and ornate floats from different states.
