KUALA NERUS, Jan 24 (Bernama) -- Terengganu FC (TFC) are braced for a torrid time against domestic giants Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) in their Super League clash at their home ground, the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium, tomorrow.
But that has not deterred TFC head coach Badrul Afzan Razali from trying to steal a point against JDT, who have won the Super League title 10 years in a row.
He also plans to make some changes to his lineup by bringing in fresh legs to avoid fatigue and prevent injuries among his players.
"We have played two crucial matches, the Malaysia Cup semi-finals (first leg against JDT on Jan 17) and the ASEAN Club Championship (Group A match against PSM Makassar of Indonesia on Jan 22) within a week. So, I intend to reshuffle the squad to ensure those who are fielded tomorrow are fit, fresh and fully charged.
"Facing a top team like JDT… we need to be more realistic. We hope we can at least get a point… if we get all three points, that will be a bonus,” he said when contacted today.
Meanwhile, Turtles goalkeeper Muhammad Rahadiazli Rahalim, aware of the immense firepower that the Southern Tigers possess, has vowed to be on his toes right from the first whistle.
"If fielded tomorrow, I will do my best and, hopefully, my defenders will help me keep the JDT players at bay,” he said.
The Turtles are currently fourth in the 13-team Super League standings with 24 points from 15 matches, a massive 25 points behind runaway leaders JDT (49 points from 17 matches).
