ANKARA, Feb 2 (Bernama-AA) -- Syria's interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa arrived in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Sunday for his first overseas trip, Anadolu Agency (AA) reported citing the Saudi state-run channel Al-Ekhbariya.
Sharaa is set to meet with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his trip, which marks a significant diplomatic move between Damascus and Riyadh.
The visit is expected to focus on strengthening bilateral relations and discussing regional issues.
Sharaa’s visit comes amid ongoing efforts to rebuild Syria’s international ties following years of political isolation.
