KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 10 (Bernama) -- The Museum of Science, Arts and Innovation for Children (MoSAIC), which opened on Feb 1, offers an interactive learning experience for children aged four to 17 years.
MoSAIC chief executive officer Fiza Zin, who co-founded the museum with Karimah Koh Siow Kien, said that by combining the concepts of creativity, play and exploration, MoSAIC offers children a dedicated space to experience holistic and inclusive learning, play and creativity.
“We are not just creating a museum but also building a space where children and families can create, explore their potential and reimagine a Kuala Lumpur of the future in a hands-on learning environment with interactive zones.
“It is designed to nurture curiosity, critical thinking and creative self-expression,” she said in a statement here today.
Some of the interactive zones created include the Play Area, Junior Makerspace, Literacy Zone, STEM activities, Children’s Art Gallery and Performing Arts, as well as a child-friendly Cafeteria.
“The SCALE-IT programme is also introduced, which includes Science, Culture, Arts, Literacy, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology, offering programmes such as street photography workshops and entrepreneurial activities to stimulate children’s creativity and involvement in urban development,” she said.
Located in a strategic area in downtown Kuala Lumpur at Civic and Heritage Precinct, the museum is easily accessible by public transportation and is open every Wednesday to Sunday from 9 am to 5.45 pm.
