KUALA LUMPUR, March 3 (Bernama) -- The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) will continue with its Imarah Ramadan PTPTN (IMRAN) programme for the fifth year running from March 5 to 20 across 15 public universities, polytechnics, community colleges and selected schools, nationwide.

PTPTN chairman Datuk Seri Norliza Abdul Rahim described IMRAN as a longstanding tradition of giving back, aimed at supporting both students and local communities.

“This initiative not only helps those in need but also strengthens PTPTN's ties with educational institutions through close collaboration,” she said during the IMRAN launch and flag-off ceremony at PTPTN Tower, here, today.

Also in attendance were PTPTN chief executive officer Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid; Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Polytechnic (PSA) director Zainah Rujihan; PTPTN management and PSA students.

This year, IMRAN will feature various community-focused activities, including the preparation and distribution of bubur lambuk, bubur manis and other iftar meals to over 10,000 people.

“We hope our contributions will ease some of the financial burdens many face during Ramadan,” Norliza added.

As part of its commitment to supporting the sustainability of education in Malaysia, PTPTN aims to further develop IMRAN as a platform for charitable efforts and collaboration with educational institutions, ensuring a positive impact on all those involved.
