MELAKA, March 4 (Bernama) -- The Melaka Health Department has issued 36 violation notices with15 fines amounting to RM6,960, for various offences involving hotels and ice factories in the state between February 17 and yesterday
State Health, Human Resources, and Unity Committee chairman Datuk Ngwe Hee Sem said the notices and fines were issued under the Food Regulations 1985 and Section 32B of the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009.
"During this period, a total of 55 food premises, including hotels and ice factories, were inspected, and only 49 of them achieved a hygiene rating of over 75 per cent," he told reporters at the Peringgit Ramadan Bazaar here today.
He said this after launching the 'Perhati dan Pilih Ramadan Bazaar Campaign, which was also attended by his deputy, Siti Faizah Abdul Azis.
