ALOR SETAR, March 8 (Bernama) -- Kedah Darul Aman (KDA) FC interim head coach Victor Andrag has praised his players for putting up a strong fight against KL City FC before losing 2-3 in their Super League clash at Darul Aman Stadium last night.

He acknowledged that KDA are now heavily reliant on young players due to the absence of several senior players from training, which has complicated team preparations.

However, he commended the young players for stepping up and giving their opponents a good fight.

“The combination of Under-23 (U-23) players and the senior players who are still available and committed has given the team a new lease of life to face the remaining matches.

“That’s why when I took over the team, I brought in several U-23 players. They were willing to train and showed determination, so I gave them the opportunity,” he told reporters after the match against KL City.

Victor expressed hope that both the young and senior players would maintain their commitment to help KDA navigate the final five matches of the Super League season.

Previously, the media reported that Victor had no choice but to field the available players for the clash against KL City due to the absence of senior players from training, which stemmed from internal team issues.
