CAIRO, March 11 (Bernama-dpa) -- Cristiano Ronaldo continues to defy age, scoring his 927th career goal in Al-Nassr's 3-0 win in the Asian Champions League on Monday.

Since his 30th birthday, Ronaldo, now 40, has now scored 464 goals, surpassing the 463 goals he netted before turning 30, according to tallies by Spanish daily sports newspaper AS and the news portal Goal.com, reported German news agency dpa.

In Monday's match against Iranian club Esteghlal Tehran, Ronaldo scored a penalty in the 27th minute to give Al-Nassr a 2-0 lead, sealing the victory and helping his team advance to the quarter-finals.

The Portuguese star had missed the first leg, which ended in a 0-0 draw.

Despite his age, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has shown no signs of slowing down, continuing to perform at a high level for both club and country.

In the current season, Ronaldo has netted 27 goals in official matches for Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo has set his sights on reaching the 1,000-goal mark in his career, but as he confidently stated in an interview earlier this year, he already considers himself the best in history.
