EmpowerHer Career Fair Offers Over 5,000 Jobs

KUALA LUMPUR, March 11 (Bernama) -- More than 5,000 jobs will be on offer at the EmpowerHer Career Fair, set to take place at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) on March 14 and 15.

The two-day event, organised by the Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA) through the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO), will focus on job opportunities featuring flexible work arrangements (FWA) to support women's participation in the workforce.

In a statement today, SOCSO said this aligns with the government’s commitment to creating a more inclusive and balanced workplace, ultimately boosting the national labour market.

"The EmpowerHer Career Fair provides women with insights into workplace flexibility, allowing them to adjust their work schedules according to personal needs and circumstances without compromising job performance.

"Through FWA, women will find it easier to balance their work and personal commitments, whether caring for their families, pursuing education, or engaging in community activities," the statement read.

The career fair will offer positions such as project manager, service manager, and technical consultant, with salaries ranging from RM13,000 to RM16,000.

Among the participating employers are the Attorney-General’s Department, Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), AirAsia, Airbus Helicopters Malaysia, Baker Hughes, IHH Healthcare Malaysia, UiTM Private Specialist Centre, and Robert Bosch Sdn Bhd.

Additionally, SOCSO said the career fair will feature various activities, including women's health screenings by the National Cancer Council and SOCSO SEHATi, career coaching sessions, and exhibitions from government and private agencies.
