The illegal jetties along the Kelantan-Thailand border, built on government land, will begin to be demolished in October as part of efforts to combat cross-border crime, said Kelantan police chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat. He said residents in the affected areas have been informed and are supportive of the action, following the announcement to close the illegal jetties in December last year.
