NEW DELHI, Oct 14 (Bernama) -- Google will invest US$15 billion between 2026 and 2030 in developing an artificial intelligence (AI) hub in Visakhapatnam in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

The project will enable Google to deploy its full AI stack to accelerate the expansion of AI-driven services across India, the American company said on Tuesday.

It combines huge AI infrastructure, a data centre, large-scale energy sources, and an expanded fibre-optic network in one place.

"The Google AI hub in Visakhapatnam represents a landmark investment in India's digital future. By delivering industry-leading AI infrastructure at scale, we are enabling businesses to innovate faster and creating meaningful opportunities for inclusive growth," Google Cloud chief executive Thomas Kurian said in a company statement announcing the venture at an event in New Delhi.

The US tech giant is partnering with AdaniConneX, a unit of Adani Enterprises of Gujarat-based businessman Gautam Adani, to build what will be India's largest AI data centre campus in the port city of Visakhapatnam.
