6.7-magnitude Quake Hits 199 Km West Of Abepura, Indonesia -- USGS

HONG KONG, Oct 16 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 jolted 199 kilometres (km) west of Abepura, Indonesia at 0548 GMT on Thursday, according to the United States (US) Geological Survey, reported Xinhua.

The epicentre, with a depth of 70.1 km, was initially determined to be at a latitude of 2.31 degrees south and a longitude of 138.86 degrees east.
