KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 22 (Bernama) -- Police arrested a foreigner, 27, on suspicions of murdering a homeless man in Bangsar this morning.
Brickfields police chief ACP Hoo Chang Hook said the man was arrested at 5 pm today near the UOA Bangsar Tower here and will be remanded at the Kuala Lumpur Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
"Initial investigations confirmed that the suspect had known the victim for the past month and lived under the flyover on Jalan Bangsar. There was a misunderstanding between the suspect and the victim last night, which led to the death of the victim to die after he was pushed into a drain at the back of a shop building that was shut down,” he said in a statement here today.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, he added.
