KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 (Bernama) -- His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia today received a courtesy call from former Royal Malaysian Air Force Chief, General (Rtd) Tan Sri Mohd Asghar Khan Goriman Khan, at Istana Negara.

A post on His Majesty’s official Facebook page said the meeting was held in conjunction with Mohd Asghar Khan’s retirement in June.

“His Majesty conveyed his best wishes to Mohd Asghar Khan as he embarks on the next chapter of his life,” according to the post.

Mohd Asghar Khan, 60, served in the Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM) for 40 years, holding the top position since March 2022.

Born in Selangor, he joined the Malaysian Armed Forces in 1983 as a cadet officer at the Royal Military College and began his career as a fighter pilot in 1985.

On June 26, General Datuk Seri Muhamad Norazlan Aris succeeded him as the 21st Chief of the Royal Malaysian Air Force.
