Top national pair Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik advanced with a solid 21-10, 24-22 victory over compatriots Ong Yew Sin–Teo Ee Yi and will take on Indonesia’s Sabar Karyaman Gutama-Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani next.

In women’s doubles, Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah maintained their momentum with a confident 22-20, 21-15 victory over China’s Bao Li Jing–Zhang Shu Xian.
