Pensonic Sees Positive Outlook After 53 Per Cent Profit Growth In First Quarter

GEORGE TOWN, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- Pensonic Holdings Bhd (Pensonic) recorded a 53 per cent rise in net profit for the first quarter ended Aug 31 of its 2026 financial year, underpinned by stronger export performance, improved operational efficiency, and continued progress under its lifestyle-driven strategy.

The homegrown electrical appliance manufacturer said revenue for the quarter stood at RM79.95 million, maintaining the same level as the corresponding period last year.

The company noted that profit before tax increased 68 per cent, while profit after tax grew 53 per cent, reflecting effective cost management, margin control and operational optimisation initiatives.

“Compared with the preceding quarter ended May 31, revenue declined 20 per cent due to seasonal factors, nevertheless we achieved a strong profitability turnaround with profit before tax improving from a loss of RM1.20 million to a profit of RM0.63 million and profit after tax turning positive at RM0.46 million. 

“Profit attributable to owners rose to RM0.17 million, demonstrating the success of our efficiency initiatives,” it said in a statement today.

Pensonic said exports remain a key growth driver, rising from 30 per cent of total sales in financial year 2023 (FY2023) to 37 per cent in FY2024, a 23 per cent increase and reaching 39 per cent  in FY2025, up five per cent year-on-year. 

"This reflects the success of our international expansion strategy and our ability to diversify revenue while maintaining a strong domestic foundation supported by our distributor network and expanding presence across Asia and the Middle East," it added.

Looking ahead to its financial year ending May 31, 2026 (FY2026), Pensonic said it remains optimistic about its growth outlook and will continue to focus on expanding exports, advancing its lifestyle-driven strategy and improving operational efficiency to deliver sustainable and long-term results.
