KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 (Bernama) — The Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP), in collaboration with Petrosains, will be organising the KL Arts & STEM Festival 2025 (KLSSF 2025) featuring a variety of free cultural, scientific, and musical activities at Plaza 20008, KLCC Park, from Nov 21 to 23.
With the theme ‘Where Arts, Heritage and Science Unite’, the three-day festival aims to offer a unique experience that combines creativity and innovation, inspiring public interest in local arts as well as learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
According to a joint statement, this seventh edition of the festival by DFP seeks to preserve and promote the nation’s cultural heritage through local art performances, while the collaboration with Petrosains strengthens an interactive approach to cultivating public interest in science.
“This festival comes at an opportune time for DFP to broaden its horizons through a collaboration with Petrosains in a festival that positions Kuala Lumpur as Malaysia’s leading destination for arts, culture and innovation.
“It is hoped to attract Malaysians in general and foreign tourists through dynamic, family-friendly activities — in support of the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign,” the statement added.
KLSSF 2025 will run daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., featuring a wide range of activities, including a heritage market offering traditional arts and crafts such as batik, wood carvings, pottery, bead embroidery, Nyonya kebaya, sarees, and pearl accessories.
Cultural music and dance performances are also scheduled to take place on the main stage at Plaza 20008 throughout the festival.
Petrosains will bring the element of science to life through interactive shows such as Hue Done It?, Circular Fuel Show, and family workshops including Light Works, DIY Instrument, and Bottle Beats, combining chemistry, colour, and creativity in fun, engaging ways.
