KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 3 (Bernama) -- After emerging from a dark phase of his life that almost dimmed the brilliance of his career, Hafiz Suip appears determined never to look back, returning instead with renewed energy and a fresh spirit that has reignited his presence in the local music scene.
That determination was evident on Saturday when Hafiz, known for his golden ballad vocals, set the stage ablaze in his first-ever solo concert, 'Di Sebalik Aku: Hafiz Suip Live in Concert’, which was a special gift to his fans who have stood by him throughout his 15-year musical journey.

More than just a comeback or an ordinary performance, the 35-year-old singer’s concert at Megastar Arena here became a deeply personal reflection for nearly 4,000 fans, allowing them to experience his emotional and artistic struggles over the years.
Opening the show at 8.30 pm with his iconic hit ‘Awan Nano’, the song that catapulted him to stardom, Hafiz expressed his heartfelt gratitude throughout the concert to his loyal supporters who have continued to keep his artistic flame alive.
“Thank you for continuing to support me. I’m still here — I never disappeared. Without all of you, there would be no Hafiz Suip,” said the singer, whose full name is Mohamad Hafiz Mohamad Suip, as the audience erupted in thunderous applause, clearly moved by his sincerity and undeniable talent.

Hafiz kept the energy soaring for two hours, with fans enthusiastically singing along to every song.
The excitement reached its peak when the Kuching-born singer left the stage to mingle with the crowd while performing ‘Watak’, sending waves of cheers and screams throughout the arena as the audience was swept up in his powerful, melodic voice.
Hafiz admitted he felt slightly nervous at the start, but the anxiety soon disappeared when he saw the familiar, loving faces of his fans who had waited patiently to see him perform live once again.

The electric atmosphere turned emotional when his parents made a surprise appearance on stage as he performed ‘Pelangi Petang’, popularised by the late Datuk Sudirman Arshad.
“I want you to know, even if you don’t have a leg, I will be your leg,” he said tearfully to his mother, who lost a leg due to diabetes complications.

Hafiz performed 20 songs during the concert, including ‘Matahari’, ‘Terus Bersinar’, ‘Masih Jelas’ and ‘Bahagiamu Deritaku’, each beautifully arranged under the musical direction of Aubrey Suwito.
The concert was further enlivened by several guest performers, including talented young singer Umairah, who joined Hafiz for the duets, ‘Muara Hati’ and ‘Salahkah’, and Sufi Rashid, who shared the stage with him for ‘Ku Akui’.
Speaking to Bernama after the concert, Hafiz said he had only three weeks of intensive rehearsals with the musicians, despite not having performed on such a large scale for quite some time.
