In KEDAH, the number of flood evacuees remains largely unchanged, with 220 people from 50 families staying at one relief centre as of 8 am, compared to 221 people from 49 families last night.

The State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) said all evacuees in the Pendang district are housed at the Tanah Merah Sports Complex Hall, involving several villages in the Rambai, Ayer Puteh, Padang Pusing, Padang Peliang, Padang Kerbau, Guar Kepayang and Tobiar sub-districts.

In PERAK, JPBN reported that the number of flood victims at the relief centre at Sekolah Agama Rakyat Padang Serai, Manjung, dropped this morning to 66 people from 17 families, compared to 107 people from 28 families last night.

All victims from Kampung Padang Serai have been staying at the centre since Oct 23, as floodwaters in the area have yet to recede fully.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for all districts in the state this afternoon.
