KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 1 (Bernama) -- Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet) has refreshed the design of the DuitNow QR standee to enhance the visibility and consistency of Malaysia’s national quick response (QR) standard.
PayNet in a statement said the update is purely visual, with no changes to DuitNow QR’s functionality, security or interoperability, as the consumers can keep paying as per normal, and merchants can accept payments as usual.
“Deployment of the new standee began in October 2025, with RHB Bank Bhd, Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd, MBSB Bank and Agrobank among the first to introduce it to their merchants.
“CIMB Bank Bhd, Public Bank Bhd, Hong Leong Bank Bhd, AmBank (M) Bhd, Bank Simpanan Nasional and Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd will deploy it next, with other banks set to follow suit,” it said.
The company said the rollout is gradual and allows for a smooth transition across the ecosystem.
Businesses are encouraged to adopt the revamped standee once it is made available by their respective acquirers, said Paynet.
