KOTA KINABALU, Dec 1 (Bernama) -- Several state assemblymen were seen entering the Istana Seri Kinabalu grounds at about 1 pm today, believed to be for the oath-taking ceremony of Sabah's Cabinet Ministers.
A Bernama survey found that among those present were state assemblymen Datuk Ewon Benedick (Kadamaian), who is also the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) president, Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (Karanaan), Datuk James Ratib (Sugut) and Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif (Membakut).
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor was seen entering the palace at 2.18 pm.
Hajiji, who is also the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) chairman, had taken his oath of office as the 17th Sabah Chief Minister early Sunday morning.
Based on the official results of the 17th Sabah polls, GRS won 29 seats of the 73 state seats contested, while Warisan won 25, Barisan Nasional (six), independent candidates (five), UPKO (three), Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) (two).
Perikatan Nasional (PN), Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) won one seat each.
