KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 3 (Bernama) — Soloz: Game of Life, a film produced by Key Billions Sdn Bhd, has achieved a milestone by successfully breaking into the Thai market and is set to be screened in more than 80 cinemas across the country starting tomorrow.

Its producer, Rahila Ali, said the effort to bring the film into Thailand was not easy, given the country's reputation for being highly selective about foreign titles.

“It cannot be denied that the process was challenging because the Thai market is very competitive, and they are meticulous in choosing foreign films.

“However, we believed in the strength of the story, visuals and emotional depth of this film, and with continuous effort as well as the confidence of our distribution partners, we finally managed to pave the way,” she said in a statement today.

Rahila said that for the Thai market, the company collaborated with Mstudio, a strong local distribution company that is also active within international distribution networks.

She added that the film received positive feedback after an early screening by Mstudio, which found the blend of live-action performance and computer-generated imagery (CGI) compelling, giving the film a modern and refreshing touch in today’s filmmaking landscape.

“From the beginning, Mstudio recognised the potential of Soloz: Game of Life to be introduced to regional audiences. The company’s experience in distributing Asian films gave us tremendous confidence.

“Mstudio also noted that the visual approach — showcasing the clash between the real world and the gaming world — has strong potential to attract young viewers, especially Mobile Legends fans in Thailand,” she said, expressing hope that this success would open more opportunities for Malaysian films in international markets.

Rahila also said that to provide a viewing experience more relatable to Thai audiences, the film has been fully dubbed in Thai to ensure better comfort for viewers there.

Yesterday, the Gala Night and Premiere Screening of Soloz: Game of Life in Bangkok was held in a lively atmosphere with the attendance of lead actor Hun Haqeem and Key Billions founder and executive producer Eddie Yap.

The film, which was released earlier this year in Malaysia, also stars Ikmal Amry, Jaa Suzuran, Hafeez Mikail, Imran Aqil, Syafie Naswip, Wafiy A’an, Noki K-Clique, Fimie Don, Kahoe Hon and Nia Atasha.
