Breakthru Academy Co Founder Phoebe Long Honoured With ESG Changemaker Award
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 11 (Bernama) -- Breakthru Academy co-founder and chief master trainer Phoebe Long Mei Wah has been honoured with the ESG Changemaker Award under the Social and Community Impact Category at the ESG PLUS Awards 2025 held here yesterday.
In a statement, the academy said the recognition highlights Phoebe's more than two decades of contribution towards inclusive education, emotional resilience and community well-being for neurodivergent children, youths, and families through evidence-based and movement-centred programmes.
It also reflects recognition of Breakthru Academy’s vital role in raising emotionally resilient, inclusive, and empowered future generations.
According to the statement, Phobe has pioneered brain-body movement techniques that strengthen learning abilities, emotional regulation, confidence and overall well-being, benefitting thousands of lives regionally and internationally.
As the creator and author of The Breakthru Approach with 3P.L.A.Y., an internationally adopted research-informed framework for self-regulation and coregulation, Breakthru Academy noted that Phoebe has empowered thousands of parents, educators and therapists across Malaysia, Southeast Asia, India and Japan.
"Her innovative brain-body movement techniques, including Brain Gym®, Rhythmic Movement Training and proprietary methods, have helped individuals overcome learning, emotional, and behavioural challenges while fostering confidence and well-being," read the statement.
The statement also said that Phoebe is an internationally recognised Faculty Member for Brain Gym and Movement Based Learning with Breakthroughs International and with Rhythmic Movement Training International (USA), as well as a certified master facilitator, professional kinesiologist and HRD Corp-certified trainer.
Meanwhile, Phoebe was quoted in the statement as saying that she is deeply humbled and grateful for the recognition, dedicating it to every parent, facilitator, teacher, therapist and child in the Breakthru family who has embraced the journey.
"Together, we continue to create a more compassionate, inclusive and empowered society -- one movement, one breakthrough at a time," she said.
