Mohd Na’im Bids Farewell To Ministry Staff

PUTRAJAYA, Dec 17 (Bernama) -- Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar today bid farewell to the staff of the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) and the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM).

He arrived at the Islamic Complex here at about 8.20 am and was greeted by the personnel, including his political secretary, Dr Muhamad Razak Idris.

Mohd Na’im said he has no immediate plans and intends to take a break for the time being.

“God willing, I will perform the umrah soon,” he told reporters.

Mohd Na’im was dropped from the new Cabinet announced yesterday by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
