KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 27 (Bernama) -- Politeknik Sultan Idris Shah (PSIS) team’s success in winning two prestigious awards at the Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF) 2025 shows that polytechnics are no longer a second-choice option, said Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.

He said the achievement demonstrated that polytechnics nurture globally minded, competitive innovators able to succeed on the world stage.

“Highest appreciation and congratulations to the entire team and all those directly and indirectly involved for their outstanding commitment, dedication, and teamwork,” he said in a Facebook post today.

At the 2025 SIIF held in Seoul, South Korea, from Dec 3 to 6, PSIS clinched a gold award for A-Port Simulation: Inclusive Airport Experience with Interactive Navigation and a silver award for PlantScape Apps for Residential 2.0.

SIIF brings together inventors and researchers from around the world to showcase new ideas and products to manufacturers, investors, distributors, licensing firms, and the public.
