SUBANG JAYA, Jan 26 (Bernama) -- AWC Bhd has entered into a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Singapore-based TwinMatrix Technologies Pte Ltd to advance digital innovation across its facilities and infrastructure operations.

AWC chief operating officer of facilities division, Abd Aziz Awang Adek, said the partnership will explore selected digital transformation initiatives to modernise operations using data-driven and artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled systems.

“We are embracing new technologies and need a dynamic partner to enhance our offerings, improve operational efficiency and deliver greater value to our customers. We believe TwinMatrix is well-positioned to bring meaningful value to our customers,” he told Bernama after signing the MoU with TwinMatrix founder and chief executive officer Eric Liu at AWC’s office today.

TwinMatrix specialises in spatial digital twin and spatial artificial intelligence solutions that integrate geospatial, internet of things and real-time data to support monitoring and decision-making in complex built environments.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, AWC group chief executive officer and president Datuk Ahmad Kabeer Mohamed Nagoor said the collaboration combines AWC’s operational expertise with TwinMatrix’s digital twin and spatial AI capabilities to improve asset visibility, predictive maintenance and energy optimisation.

He said TwinMatrix will act as a technology collaboration partner, providing advisory input, platform capabilities and technical support for pilot initiatives, with implementation to be rolled out in phases.

AWC said the MoU takes effect today and will be valid for 12 months.

The company added that the MoU is not expected to have any material immediate impact on its earnings per share, net assets per share or gearing for the financial year ending June 30, 2026.
