KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 26 (Bernama) -- Eco-Shop Marketing Bhd’s net profit rose to RM61.89 million in the second quarter financial year ended Nov 30, 2025 (2Q FY2026) from RM53.60 million, representing an increase of 15.5 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y).
Revenue for the quarter under review also increased by 2.9 per cent to RM714.83 million from RM694.49 million previously, driven by continued expansion of the group’s store network, with the net addition of 18 new stores.
“The total store count increased from 323 stores as at Nov 30, 2024 to 409 stores as at Nov 30 ,2025. Correspondingly, the number of sales transactions increased 6.3 per cent to 30.6 million in 2Q FY2026,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
For the first half of 2026 (1H 2026), Eco-Shop recorded net profit of RM120.65 million from RM93.19 million in the same corresponding half year on a revenue of RM1.40 billion, marking a 2.7 per cent increase from RM1.36 billion in 1H 2025, driven by the net addition of 86 new stores y-o-y.
The household retailer company said the number of sales transactions increased 7.0 per cent to 59.9 million in 1H 2026.
“The revenue growth translated into a higher gross profit (GP) of RM451.7 million in 1H 2026. GP margin improved to 32.3 per cent in 1H 2026, up from 26.4 per cent, due to selling price increase, a favourable product mix and the strengthening of the ringgit,” said Eco-Shop.
In a separate statement, Eco-Shop chief executive officer Jessica Ng said with a healthy pipeline of new store openings in 2Q FY2026, the group is on track to exceed its target of 70 new stores for the year.
“We believe Malaysia’s dollar store segment remains underpenetrated, offering a long runway for growth and we have put in place strategies to continue expanding our store network to deepen our market reach.
“Beyond store network growth, we are also enhancing the in-store experience through ongoing refresh and refurbishment initiatives, ensuring a pleasant shopping environment while staying true to our affordability promise,” she said.
She also said the group will continue to strengthen its market share, enhance execution capabilities and elevate customer experience to drive sustainable growth and returns.
Meanwhile, the group declared an interim single-tier dividend of 0.5 sen per share for the financial year ended May 31, 2026, and the expected dividend payment date is Feb 26, 2026.
