Nga Spreads Cheer Among KPKT Staff Ahead Of Chinese New Year

PUTRAJAYA, Feb 13 (Bernama) -- Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming today engaged with staff of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) at the ‘Sentuhan Kasih Muhibah’ event in conjunction with the 2026 Chinese New Year celebrations.

In a statement today, the ministry said the event symbolised unity, harmony and cultural diversity, with Nga distributing 500 boxes of mandarin oranges to staff to spread cheer and strengthen camaraderie.

In a brief speech, the minister highlighted that cultural diversity within the government is a key strength in delivering effective public services, it said.

At KPKT, every festival is celebrated together to foster closer ties and reinforce the spirit of brotherhood among staff, regardless of background, it added.

Nga also encouraged staff to embrace the symbolism of the Year of the Horse, representing courage and strength, by demonstrating diligence and dedication in fulfilling their responsibilities to the public.
